  1. tickmarkPlacement for xAxis set as datetime not categories

What I am after is to do exactly what the tickmarkPlacement:'between' setting does for categories. Except I need it for dates. This is a pretty fundamental charting option that should be available.

If I'm doing a chart that is over 12 months and I'm showing the months on the xAxis, I want the labels to be in between the ticks as that represents the month not on the tick that separates one month from the next.

If there is a way of doing this I would love to know. I can't use the label x setting as the charts are…

  2. Color axis support for map with levels

Color axis support for map with levels
    https://github.com/highslide-software/highcharts.com/issues/4551

Even GeoMap needs same kind of support:
See below cateogy map demo of GeoMap
    http://www.highcharts.com/maps/demo/category-map

Here using color intesityif want to show which area has more sale i cant do it easily.

  3. Circular Treemap charts

Instead of having Treemap as groups of rectangles, we can have it as group of circles.

    Something like this:
    - http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/analyze-disk-space-usage-via-7-tree-based-data-structure-visualization-treeviz/

Hope you can do it :)

  4. Add paging to column charts

if the list of columns are to big to display, I would like a way to paginate them and show the columns in groups of 10, 20, etc.

  5. Heatmap highlight row/column of a given category

The user would click a given category name, for instance, on a list, and the heatmap would highlight the row/column that corresponds to that category. This would allow for users to look for columns/rows if interest in a faster way, especially when dealing with big datasets.

  6. Range selector postion in highstocks js.........

In highstock.js, we don't have postion to place the range selector. Why don't you give the options for placing the range selector(like top, bottom, vertical, horizontal...........)

  7. add more html tag support

We're trying to add some superscripted text to chart subtitles, but the tag is not supported. Can you add support for some more html tag support for tags like and

  9. add Events to rangeSelector

add events to the rangeSelector to give us the ability to dynamically load data if it is not pre-loaded.
I am new to HighStock and looking for a way to load data when a button on the rangeSelector is clicked.
So if i load a months worth of data at startup and my rangeselector has these YTD and 5y buttons, they are currently of no use to me unless i load 5years data at startup.

  10. Support extending step lines to the edge of the chart

Currently, on a chart with multiple series having distinct x values, step lines can look awkward when one series ends before another.

My immediate desire is simply to have an option to extend step lines to the right-hand edge of the chart. It should work when addPoint() is used on another series and the chart is redrawn. That is, all series drawn with the "step" option should be drawn as-if they have an additional point like [chart_max_x, series_last_y].

I don't need full extrapolation capabilities, that is, I'm not asking for any logic to decide how to draw points that might…

  11. x-axis label getting overlapped by default

When we have more categories in
x-axis, they are getting overlap with one another and it's looks like a
dark black marks in x-axis. I could not read the categories and chart looks
very bad. Please look the below example for your reference.

    http://jsfiddle.net/Uyn36/

I know there is something todo with highcharts by using staggerlines ,..etc

But it would be great, if highcharts automatically finds the label size and
rotate the labels. Even if you skip some of the intermediate labels that is
also looks good to me. Because somehow i would like to represent my chart
    is looking good.…

  13. Tooltip delay

I would like the tooltip to have a 'initial delay' - such that it acts more like a typical tooltip. I.e. the tooltip only shows after the mouse is stationary for a specified time, and then tracks data points instantly once shown.

Additionally, I would like the tooltip to be able to be replaced by a callback which provided the point values, such that they could be displayed elsewhere. So, for example, I might want to display the values of the currently tracked points in a div to the right of the graph, while still retaining the crosshair functionality.

  15. Highstock navigator should inherit color from baseSeries

By default, the navigator series's color is always blue, as documented here: http://www.highcharts.com/stock/ref/#navigator--series

It seems natural to me that the color of the navigator series should be the color of the baseSeries that is being shown in the navigator.

  16. highlight axis when passing over series

When a chart have several axis it is not easy to see which axis has to be used with a serie.

A solution migth be to higlight (like columns) axis when the mouse passed over a serie

  17. Add calendar widget (Jquery Date picker) to the range selector input fields to highstock.

Entering date manually is a little outdated using a date picker would provide a better interaction.

  18. Reverse order in stacked charts

The current logic for the "normal" stacking is that the series are stacked from the top to the bottom. There should be an easy way to reverse the order, our users are used to build the stack from the bottom to the top and not vice versa. I suggest adding something like plotOptions { stackingOrder: 'reversed' }// default 'normal'

  19. Static image rendering for performance

The dynamic SVG plots could be replaced by a static image of the plots, similar to how the exported PNG looks. The choice between dynamic and static could be made at runtime based on the size of the dataset.

I'm generating scatter plots based on data from a database. The plots looks great, however the performance gets to be a probably when the plot has more than 1000 points.

  20. chord diagram

A chord diagram or an extended diagram is basically used to show data flow between multiple entities. We can have a circular chord diagram or an extended one.
Currently we are achieving it through d3.js, but that requires lot of complex coding
