Directly share to social media, without having to download the chart image
It’s a good idea, Iit would require that we either are able to send images directly from the browser memory to the social media APIs, or that the export server passes the images to the APIs.

Adding my voice to calls for this. It would be a natural extension to the image exporter.

Needless to say but this feature would be not only good for Highchart customers but for Highcharts itself to use its user-base to promote itself by sharing charts.. please let us know asap when this is available

I did an attempt at this, but wasn't able to make it work. In theory, we should be able to use the async option from our export server to send a preliminary link to Facebook. It's not passing the image. If you would like to have a try, here's what I did so far: http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/2fLbq3xd/. Remember to allow popup windows.

+1 with Conor re: customising share icons for seamless look and feel
What's the status on this Torstein?

I feel a social media bar with icons as oppose to an export button would be more user friendly. But I'd prefer to be able to fully customise the icons and positioning on the page.

Hi Joe,
What's more natural to you? A social media bar with icons? or by expanding the current export menu with social media options.
