I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Prevent Flags overlap

    When multiple series are used and if the flags are overlapping it should be moved a bit to prevent overlapping.Currenyly the stackWidth option allows it for only one series .What if i have connected series like a part dotted and part solid series. I wont be able to use stack distance in this case. So require something to push the y values a bit if they are overlapping even if on different series.

  2. PowerPoint Export

    I'd like to see a PowerPoint export option.

    The Highcharts chart would have to be a "chart object" on the PowerPoint slide, meaning you could click on the chart in the slide to change properties.

    I'd be willing to pay more/extra for an export module that had this capability.

    As Jamie says, Highcharts already supports this, you just need to loop over datasets and run Series.setData or Point.update for each step.

    But we are currently working on a set of demos to demonstrate this, which will make it easier for you to set up, as you can copy-paste from our samples.

  4. Pivot Tables

    I know this isn't a chart but it is related to visualizing your data. Could you make a Pivot chart? You would be able to Drill up or down along a drill path, change Side labels to Top labels, focus on particular values in side and top labels, use javascript to define each fact item and you could even link that data to another Highchart to visualize it. As one changes, the other changes.

  5. Sankey Chart move node elements

    It would be great if there a feature to move the node elements in the Sankey chart. In some cases you don't recognize much by the intersections of the flows.

    Like in d3: http://blockbuilder.org/timelyportfolio/79350d7475a5709b051e

    This allows you to move the display according to your wishes and i think that is a important feauture that doesn't exist.

  6. Allow the tooltip to appear when a point is clicked (instead of hover).

    Tool tip only appears when a point is clicked rather than hover. The tool tip would persist until another point is clicked or if the user clicks anywhere on the chart.

  9. allow for custom symbols when using bubble chart

    Allow for custom symbol with bubble chart, such as square triangle etc. Works wondefully with scatter but when you switch to bubble you're forced to used the round ones.

  10. Add ISO3166 Subdivision codes to Maps

    I'm working on the implementation of Maps in our application. Internally, we identify states as ISO3166's subdivision codes. It seems that this codes do not always match the "hc-key" provided in some maps. For example, for Argentina:

    https://code.highcharts.com/mapdata/countries/ar/ar-all.js
    "features": [
    {
    "type": "Feature",
    "id": "AR.TF",
    "properties": {
    ...
    "hc-key": "ar-tf",
    ...
    "woe-name": "Tierra del Fuego",
    ...

    While in the ISO, the code is different:

    https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:code:3166:AR
    Tierra del Fuego -> "AR-V"

    "ar-tf" != "AR-V". In general, in US states the only difference is the letter case (it's lowercase for hc-key, while it's upper case to ISO).

    Can we add the ISO…

  11. Export Chart Data to CSV, Excel, and More, via Data URIs

    It should be real simple to grab the currently visible series (optionally trimmed to the zoomed x-range), and construct a CSV data data uri, to allow downloading right from the browser, without an additional server hit. In fact, I'm going to try it right now. It might be possible, using certain binary (or XML) JS wizardry to construct the same for Excel.

  12. probability density / normal distribution / "bell curve" - autogenerated from series data

    I plan to implement this using the spline mode + manually plotting the distribution (100 points), but it would more convenient as a built in type. Actually, a number of options for showing data distribution / percentile would be lovely! :)

  13. Add Bullet Graphs to the selection list

    This is particularly useful for dashboard designs. Here is the wiki page for it. It is essential for visual representation of target based data comparisons in a dashboard setting or for comparing quantitative data to a target in any web environment really.

  14. Animation with multiple point update

    When updating more than one point at a time to the chart, it'd be good to also take into account the animation settings (such as "duration") and not only for when only one point is added.

    Example of how it is now:

    http://highcharts.com/jsbin/afukew/edit

    How it should be: When pressing "update" button, it should take as much time painting the new points as it took with the points at the beginning.

  15. Simple timeline charts

    A simple timeline chart that can plot a project from start date to end date with mile-stones. Milestones are specific images over-layed on the plot line. This is almost a very high level gantt that does not have linkage between tasks.

  16. amd support

    Could you please release Highcharts in a AMD version?

    Two solutions here. First, use UMD so it define a AMD module if available or fallback to global otherwise. Second, create a AMD module and put it at with highcharts.js and highcharts.src.js (maybe highcharts.amd.js).

    What do you think?

  18. define the height of xAxis plotBands or a widht of yAxis plotBands

    I need to define specific areas in my scatterplot.
    It would be very helpful to have the possibility of specifying y limits for a band plotted on the x axis and the other way round (that is to specify x limits for a band plotted on the y axis) in such a way that someone can highlight delimited areas (in the form of a rectangle).
    Thank you!

  19. Summary Tables

    Add support for adding simple data tables inside or outside of a chart. This would be similar to a legend, but contains custom data sets. Currently we use the Highcharts Renderer to render a background rectangle based on the matching chart options and draw the table the same way the legend is drawn outside of the table. It would be nice if there was the option for that datatable to exist under the chart/overlayed on the chart or completely separate from the chart.

    Added a study for integration with Handsontable, a third party grid component: https://jsfiddle.net/gh/get/library/pure/highcharts/highcharts/tree/master/samples/highcharts/studies/summary-table-handsontable/

    The data table is now a feature of the data-export module. See http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/VEs7z/3/. Notice how it updates as the chart is updated (for example by showing/hiding series).

    Here’s a proof of concept of how you can draw a table programmatically: http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/VEs7z/

  20. Highmaps: Map Collection does not have world map with disputed areas

    The world map provided in Map Collection does not show disputed areas of countries. It would be really helpful if the disputed area of Jammu & Kashmir state is shown as part of India in world.json

    India with Jammu & Kashmir:
