Put highcharts.js on a CDN
To improve page load times and simplify deployment for users, it would be awesome if highcharts.js were up on a CDN.

Grouping points
I would like to group points to get weekly/monthly average values. Maybe animated?
7 votesThe feature is available in Highcharts Stock, called `dataGrouping`. Documentation: https://www.highcharts.com/docs/stock/data-grouping

Allow Disabling Series by Default
I want to have the ability to disable a data series by default, so that when you click on its legend item it shows, instead of hides. This will give me the ability to put many series on one graph, only show the core ones, while allowing users to show additional series if they need.

Draw an area between two line-charts...
... without stagging. That means showing the real datapoints of the top line.

Extend the axis 'max' property to act like css min-height rather than a hard ceiling
This would allow the (y) axis to be set to, say, 1-100 but if a value > 100 came along it would resize the max property to fit rather than simply truncating the points.
This is not the same as leaving max unset because that will show a value of 2 at the top of the axis if that's the largest data point. I don't want the axis to scale below max, just above it.40 votesThis is implemented now and will be released with version 5.0.1. The new options are called softMin and softMax.

Hiding of Y-Axis
When hiding an Y-Axis (for example when using multiple Y-Axis), I'd suggest to remove the Y-Axis title as well. Yet only the axis disappears.
232 votesWe added the new axis.showEmpty option. When you set this to false, empty axes are completely hidden: http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/gdDbt/. This will be officially released in Highcharts 2.2.

Custom positions for tooltips
It would be nice to be able to position tooltips however we want to, instead of always having the tooltip to the left of the markers.
I have already written the code and created a pull request for the feature on GitHub: https://github.com/highslide-software/highcharts.com/pull/243

Category-ready crosshairs
Right now, the crosshairs option draws a line of fixed width (usually quite thin). This looks cool... until you switch to a category-based chart.
In a chart with categories, the crosshair is just a thin line runnign through the centre of the category.
It would be very nice to have an option to highlight the entire category, or to make a crosshair line as wide as the distance between ticks (assuming arbitrary zoom).
(This can be done by setting plotBands in the tooltip formatter function, but that method seems rather hack-ish)

Improved Text Renderer: Line Wrapping
This might go hand-in-hand with some of the other requests about wrapping labels, legends & titles. I would like to see a function that works like the text() method of the renderer but with automatic line wrapping.
I am imagining something like this:
chart.renderer.textbox('long text here', left, top, width, height, clip);
clip would allow you to specify if the text can overflow or be clipped.
Ideally, perhaps it would be better if it worked like text in a div and had similar justification and clipping options.
3 votesSee http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/WnFAM/. The implementation uses CSS width.

timeseries interval preselects
when rendering timeseries is very common to have some predefined options like : lastweek/week, lastmonth/month, last_year/year and a subgraph with a slider with an interval selector. An example (maybe not the best) http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=^DJI+Interactive#chart1:symbol=^dji;range=1y;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=on;source=undefined

When exporting charts don't show the hidden curves.
Eg : A user is given a chart with 5 series and has decided 2 of them they don't want to plot and disables them. When they export to either a file or printer the export needs to reflect those preferences.

tooltipInterval is firing every 32ms regardless of the whether or not mouse is over the Chart.
The setInterval should only be created on mouseenter and cleared on mouseleave.14 votesIt is fixed in the development branch

Option for line for spline charts to be dashes
Is it possible to set a PlotOption or Series to have a dash option. I know nothing about SVG markup but after 5 minuets of googling I found the stroke-dasharray attribute is the only thing is needed for path elements.
1 voteYou can apply it to individual series. See http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/77FCb/.
