This would allow people to writing financial systems or any kind of alert type of systems to monitor how far away they are from a goal or how close they are to triggering alerts.
Prime example is in the financial world: You set a Budget of $100,000 with a $20,000 threshold for a project, the gauge stays in the Green zone when spendings are below 100k, when its between 100 and 120 it is in the yellow zone (e.g. time to be concerned) and above 120k it would…

Pass triggering event object when firing events
For example, when an item in a Legend is clicked, the 'legendItemClick' event is sent via 'fireEvent'. The recipient of the event does not get passed information from the original event, however. In our application, we want to deselect all legend items except the clicked item when the click is performed with the alt key selected. Without the actual event object, our code which handles the legendEventClick does not know the state of the Alt key.
As a workaround, we modified the Legend code to do the following:
...
fireEvent (item, strLegendItemClick, {
eventDetails: event
}, fnLegendItemClick);

High and low plot lines
allow for a low and high plot line on a graph so if the line goes above or below these plot lines the colour of the graph line changes. A nice instant way of visualising if a graph goes beyond certain 'ideal' limits.
16 votesThis was completed with series.zones (http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts/plotOptions.series.zones), which was introduced in 4.1.0

Add a built in table parser
A built in table parser would allow that the data be defined in a table in the HTML page. If JavaScript is disabled in the browser, the table will still show.
