  1. Enable overscrolling - scrolling a fixed amount of pixels (customizable, like say 20% of chart.plotWidth) to the right, so that we show an "empty" space that is waiting for new chart data.

  2. scrollbar support is available in highstock, but not in highcharts. it does not merit a license for highstock just for scrollbar functionality.

  4. When I have many (many) series on a stockChart, I've long wished to be able to use the mouse to hover near a point and let the tooltip tell me which series it belongs too -- due to limited colors available, it becomes impossible to tell by color. Recently I was pointed to a new feature (since 5.0.10) findNearestPointBy on stackoverflow, which seems to do exactly what I want except it doesn't appear to work in a stockChart (as opposed to a regular chart - even with ordinal set to false).

    I've put up two examples to show the…

    For basic styling see http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts/plotOptions.bubble.marker.states.select (example: http://jsfiddle.net/bn5s18rv/). If you want to add an image using the renderer or similar, you will have to attach to the select event (http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts/plotOptions.bubble.point.events.select). If you need more help with this, feel free to contact our support. If you are using CSS styling, use the .highcharts-point-select class: http://jsfiddle.net/wtwj3o5b/. Again, for more information, please contact support https://www.highcharts.com/support.

  6. Default highstock tooltip formatter use color of chart in series name. But OHLC/candlestick has two kind of point colors - color & upColor and tooltip can show one of them for differnet points.

  7. I see no possibility in highstock to set a specific time length per candlestick for the candlestick chart...for example 1 minute per candlestick, 10 minutes etc....it seems not possible to configure this...
    Shouldnt this be possible? it would render candlesticks (And thus highchart) unusable for us.

  8. HighCharts is not compatible with Javascript Strict mode because it leaks variables to the global namespace.

    Running JavaScript in strict mode is a business requirement to enhance security and stability: "strict" operating context prevents certain actions from being taken and throws more exceptions:

    • It catches some common coding errors, throwing exceptions, instead of silently running.
    • It prevents, or throws errors, when relatively "unsafe" actions are taken (such as gaining access to the global object).
    • Strict mode code can sometimes run faster.

    As an example, this function in HighCharts:

    dSetter: function (value, key, element) {
    // some code
    this[key] = value;…

  9. When we have more categories in
    x-axis, they are getting overlap with one another and it's looks like a
    dark black marks in x-axis. I could not read the categories and chart looks
    very bad. Please look the below example for your reference.

    I know there is something todo with highcharts by using staggerlines ,..etc

    But it would be great, if highcharts automatically finds the label size and
    rotate the labels. Even if you skip some of the intermediate labels that is
    also looks good to me. Because somehow i would like to represent my chart

  10. It would be nice to have native Angular 2 support. So far, it's a little bit complicated to implement Highcharts with Angular 2 (without relying on 3rd-party plugins.

  14. Currently, if you use multiple Y-axis in combination with a stacked column chart, all columns are stacked together. Example:

    http://jsfiddle.net/Lanerxnr/1/

    I propose that only the columns belonging to the same y-axis are stacked together. This would mean that in the example above, "Rainfall 3" would not be stacked on top of the others, but rendered next to it and have it's own axis.

    If there was an additional series with y-axis=1 would be rendered on top of "Rainfall 3"

  16. Can you provide a 3-D chart option such that
    1) The size of each slice (angular radians) is determined by numerical data in one column
    2) The height of each slice is determined by numerical data in a 2nd column
    3) The color of each slice is determined by numerical or categorical data in a 3rd column
    4) The radius of the slice (extension of the edge from the center) is determined by numerical data in a 4th column.

    In this way, one pie chart can show 4 sets of data with the axes being radians, height, radius and color.

  17. We need diverging color scales for highmaps instead of a single color going from light to dark. This feature is in POWER BI Maps .

    When the Diverging slider is on, you can set the colors for Minimum, Maximum and Center separately. Center is set to Zero, so bars with values above zero are a gradient shade of green, and bars below zero are shades of red.

  20. This is a highly needed feature, for example, if you're developing a sales dashboard that is used for displaying multiple charts on a single page. Currently Highcharts does support exporting multiple charts but only to an external server. There are some hacks found from the Internet but I would really like to use an official solution.
