Add Navigation bar for Y-Axis in Highstock
My suggestion for a very helpful feature would be to add a vertical navigation bar for the Y-Axis, similar to the navigation bar that exists for the X-Axis, for Highcharts. Would lead to a highly interactive plot, especially suitable for project using scatter-plots
Completed as of v4.2.6. See http://www.highcharts.com/component/content/article/2-news/224-scrollbars-for-any-axis.

I also need the feature to use Y Axis scrolling and if possible zooming as well.
My main use is for Highstock and my work project depends highly on this implementation. Many thanks,

I merged it into this idea, but it still has only 33 votes, so there are other feature requests that are more popular. I'll add a demo of adding general HTML scrollbars to the chart though.

Can you please shed some light on when Y axis scrolling will be available for basic chart types (such as a column chart that lists URLs visited by a user)?
If such a feature is not in the roadmap for Highcharts or Highstock, why? It seems a LOT of users have been asking for such a feature for a rather long time.

The best way I believe would be to use as much as possible of the scrollbar code in Scroller.js, separate it from the Navigator bit, then add support for vertical axes. The biggest problem now I think is that it is mixed with the navigator.

If we plan to implement it as our contribution is there a pointer you can provide us in that regard. The issue is we cannot change from highstock at this stage of the project. So implementing vertical scroll bar is of utmost importance to us.

Scrollbar for Y axis is not implemented as of Highstock 1.3.10

Iam also interested in this feature.
But it needs to work for multiply y Axis with multuiple scales
See following examples:Here i would use a percentage level
