    The user who started this is no longer existent here, there is no task description, and to me this feels like a task for the knockout.js community / plugin builders, but not for highcharts core development

    "Framework-indepentent" would mean that Torstein starts spending his precious time on re-inventing intel appframework (=jqmobi) at best. Pls consider (at least first) building an adapter: http://highcharts.uservoice.com/forums/55896-general/suggestions/3936271-better-performance-provide-jqmobi-intel-appfram
