We are currently working on Gantt charts, including the following features:
​- Tasks (Activities) with task name, start- and end-dates
​- Milestones
​- Dependencies
​- Multiple tasks on a single y-value (X-range study: http://jsfiddle.net/gh/get/jquery/1.7.2/highslide-software/highcharts.com/tree/master/samples/highcharts/studies/xrange-series/)
- Subtasks: Treegrid for grouping tasks (unlimited levels)
- Indicator for current date
- Indicator for progress per task
- Detailed datetime axis: Classic Gantt date axis, e.g. weeks and single-letter days / months and weeks etc.

We’re developing in modules, and gathering the modules into a Gantt-module. Current modules which are in development include:

GridAxis: Makes axes look like table rows or cells

TreeGrid: Adds tree behavior to y-axes. Inherits grid behavior from GridAxis

Pathfinder: Adds lines with auto-calculated paths from one point to another (used for dependencies in Highcharts Gantt)

CurrentDateIndicator: Adds a plot line at the current date and displays it in the plot line label

ArrowSymbols: An icon-pack for the Highcharts renderer, adding more arrow-symbols

XRangeSeries: Multiple points with the same y-value with two x-values (start and end), and partial color filling (used to display completeness)

GanttSeries: The series type used in a Gantt chart, with many aliases for Highcharts options, which are more Gantt-friendly

GanttChart: Adds the Highcharts.ganttChart()-constructor which creates two datetime x-axes on top of the chart with weeks and days in granularity, creates one treegrid y-axis, and sets the default series type to ‘gantt’

Status: Approaching alpha-testable.

Most modules are ready for alpha-testing, but there is still some work left on TreeGrid and Pathfinder before we’re ready to test
