Angular Gauges
Angular Gauges such as the ones on http://www.fusioncharts.com/widgets/gallery.asp (in the top group).
This would allow people to writing financial systems or any kind of alert type of systems to monitor how far away they are from a goal or how close they are to triggering alerts.
Prime example is in the financial world: You set a Budget of $100,000 with a $20,000 threshold for a project, the gauge stays in the Green zone when spendings are below 100k, when its between 100 and 120 it is in the yellow zone (e.g. time to be concerned) and above 120k it would hit the red zone and all hands on deck.
That´s just one example of how useful that would be.
Completed as of Highcharts 2.3

Also please allow to show several Gauges in one "dashboard", similar to AnyChart Gauges: http://anychart.com/products/anychart/gallery/samples/Server-Monitoring-Using-Micro-Gauges.html
The FusionCharts gauge suffers from severe performance problems when loading more than 10 gauges in one page - I hope highcharts Gauge won't have the same problem :). -

I Need to customize the size of the Angular gauges(height and width of the container). Can you please help me with that
-
Joost: Yes, the position of the container should be relative. I've fixed that in the demo.

We managed to build a guage for current electricity power based on http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/bLks3/
But we found that positioning of the gauge in the various browsers (mainly tested between Chrome end IE)
Any clue on this? -

Will be there also multiple scales and multiple needles in the plan? Thanks.

You may want to take a close look at the free bindows gauge library. I love the amount of settings you can do there. Especially in building up a nice background with rim, gradients, reflection, multiple scales, multiple needles, value display, etc.
And please include the familiar HighCharts legend, as well as a feature to protect the gauge from being distorted when placed in a non-square container. -
It's kind of complicated - we need to do some modifications to the axis object and translate functionality in order to get the coordiante system right, so I think we need to do this one in-house.

Anyway for contribution? I need this feature and I really don't want to switch. I would be happy if I could contribute on this feature.

Gauges will be a big help. Besides the financials example above, they are very helpful in network health monitoring..
What is the estimated delivery month/year?

Glad to hear gauges are next (we really need), what is the expected timeline though? thanks
-
Angular Gauges are still planned, but first on the road map are Stock charts, which we've started development on. Next out (as it looks now) are Gauges and Radar charts.

We NEED this for our financial app and it is literally the only thing holding us back from buying a license. I would also like to request the Cylinder charts too.

Torstein, thanks for the update. the gauges are a real requirement on my side. We look forward to using them. will purchase a licence in the meant time.

The current roadmap pretty much mirrors this wish list. We are working on auto margins and resizable charts, which will most likely be published as version 2.1 within some weeks. Then we'll start creating stock charts with related features as finance type charts and scrolling and panning. After that we'll create gauges, so the estimated release could be in early winter.
