Add logarithmic axes
For showing really low and really high values on the same axis
Logarithmic axes were completed as of Highcharts 2.2.

Same question: is there a status update about this? I'd like to use Highcharts but having a logarithmic axis is a requirement in my project.

Bump. Is there a status on this? I'd love to use Highcharts, but I really require at least semi-log (one axis).

Can you point me to the release that implements the logarithms support?
Thanks.

Experimental log axes are implemented in the next maintenance release, scheduled for release this week.

Hi Tornstein,
Do you have an estimate of when logrithmic scales will be released ?
-
Perhaps Highcharts should throw an identifiable error when it is fed with 0 or negative points.
I thought it would work with log x axis already, but apparently there is some problem. I'll note that.

Hi Torstein, thank you for the experimental version. As Alex said, it works great, except for zero-values and negative values.
Another request : would it be possible to make it work on both axes, because I use Highcharts to render scatter plots, and I need to display logarithmic scales on X and Y axes ?
This feature is critical for us... -

Hi Torstein,
Yes, I played around with it last week but couldn't get it to work with my data. Then, I put some more time into it today and discovered it was just due to a bug that my data happened to trigger:
If any of the series have a point with a value of zero, then the graph breaks:
http://jsfiddle.net/ZUcCS/41/Hope this helps. Looks pretty good after I got rid of the zeros in my data. :)

Alex, did you test the experimental code at http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/ZUcCS/?

Yes, please implement this sooner than later. I specifically need this for the project that I am doing at work.

Maybe there's something that has to be added for the example to work. Currently the page only loads. Check back you sources.

This is a basic requirement for charting certain types of data. The temp solution mentioned below helps, but it would be better to have this implemented into the core product to fully support the various axis options. Please implement this sooner rather than later.

I've posted a solution to this issue here:
http://highslide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9777Maybe it will be easier to include this feature now on a new version.

Log axis are essential for any serious plotting with low and high values.
Please consider this a new feature soon! :-) -

I'm really surprised this isn't included.

This is a requirement for us, too.

+1 - This is a critical feature we need as well.

A logarithmic y-axis would be a real asset for our implementation. We will need that as soon as possible.
Thanks, Dominik

We really need to see this implemented as soon as possible. If you need testers for this feature, feel free to contact me.
