Add gauge properties for handling values outside Y-axis range
When a gauge gets a value outside the Y-axis range, the needle keeps rotating. It then looks as if another value is indicated.
Example: the Y-axis is from -50 to 50. When an value of -75 is specified, the needles points to 48, which is invalid.
I cannot resolve this by modifying the "-75" value to "-50" because of the value label and tooltip, which must show the correct value of -75.
It would therefore be better for the needle not to move beyond the Y-axis scale. Or only a few degrees as an indication that the actual value is beyond the scale.
Thanks, that’s a good idea. We implemented a wrap option: http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/NK8jR/
