Allow irregular datetime xAxis (Note: irregular point intervals are already supported!)
Before voting on this feature, please make sure you understand that this does not apply to irregular data, but irregular axis. Specifying irregular data intervals is straight forward. See http://highslide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9222.
Instead of fixed intervals for a datetime xAxis, implement support for specific corresponding datetime-value pairs in case there is no constant logging but sporadic or unsteady input data (e.g. temperature logging only if value has actually changed)

This feature is completed as of Highstock 1.1. In Stock charts it is enabled by default and can be disabled by setting xAxis.ordinal to false. In basic charts it can be enabled by setting ordinal to true.

Hello, Torstein. This feature is vital to some projects we're currently working on; they all need irregular intervals for interday stock charts. We are willing to contribute and help you out as much as possible, so we would like to know how is the progress on it and what would be the best approach to dive into the axis scaling code. Any directions would be much appreciated.

Most markets have weekend breaks. For low time frames this is not to much of an issue. But for analysis over longer time frames it makes things a little tricky. Briliant product none the less.

This is not only an important feature for removing evenings and weekends for stock charts, but is also critical for graphing sports data to be able to remove the off-season. Please implement ASAP.

We hear you! We will release 1.0 without this, but it will be top priority after that. The feature's release date would be the same either way.

This is a very important and normal feature. For some stock market such as China, market opens from 09:30 to 11:30, then close for 1.5 hours, and opens again from 13:00 to 15:00. So what I want is to ignore the time from 11:30 to 13:00 in the intraday chart.
Please add this feature in the formal release 1.0. Thanks! -

This feature is critical to me as well. Any word on this being implemented or is it best if I start to hacking this in myself?

That is definitely a good idea, but should not be restricted to intraday charts. Daily charts also need this (e.g. skip Saturdays and Sundays)

Agree that this is very important for stock charts (to only show trading days). Thanks for a great product.

Would really love to see this feature implemented, or have some starting advice in altering your code to do this :)

Does this request include handling data without weekends (e.g. stock price history) ?
-
davook commented
it would be very useful for being able to manage data series which don't contain some days because there are no data for them. At the moment, in a datetime axis, all the days are represented in the graph.... but in those cases, the days without data, sholdn't be considered.

see the posted example, that works for me ;)
